![]() ![]() Media Center is a jukebox-style media player, like iTunes, which usually uses most of the screen to display a potentially very large library of files. It's also possible that there's a configuration settings for this already but I haven't found it.Īm I missing something that JRiver Media Center can do? If not, it may be necessary to undertake a somewhat more ambitious bit of code development to better meet my needs. Media Center, or formally, JRiver Media Center is a multimedia application that allows the user to play and organize various types of media on a computer running Windows. In theory, it looks like it would be fairly easy to do this within the JRiver application. Once the HDMI channel goes idle, it should go to sleep following the Windows Power Option settings. It would be preferable for JRiver Media Center to monitor when it is sending audio out via HDMI and issue settings to the PC to tell it to not sleep. I want it to remain awake while running an audio playlist but to sleep when the software isn't doing anything.Ĭurrently I'm using a bit of C# code I wrote that keeps the PC awake until a window is closed. Using the new deinterlacing mode in JRVR would disrupt seeking in the video. Switching from Standard View to full-screen Display View would not reliably switch to the configured full-screen monitor. That option can be selected but it unfortunately keeps the PC awake even when JRiver is idle. JRiver Media Center 30.0.31 for Windows - Available Here New. You can access the Sync Options for your device via any of the following methods: Open Tools > Options > Handheld and then select your device from the drop-down menu at the top. Tools -> Options -> Audio -> Settings -> Disable display from turning off (useful for HDMI audio) Each device added to Media Center can have its own independent settings. Within JRiver application, there's a setting that keeps the PC awake: After a few minutes, the PC goes to sleep and audio shuts down - that number of minutes corresponds to the Power Option to turn off the display. Audio from this PC is sent to an external processor via HDMI. The problem I'm seeing occurs while running an audio playlist. It automatically wakes up to record scheduled OTA TV shows. Video playback stops when paused for 10 minutes. Changed: Radio KISS - Better, more compact view on mobile devices. Radio KISS - Support web-app on iOS and Android (home screen link). When this PC is doing nothing, it's configured to go to sleep to save energy. This is an early build of JRiver Media Center 23. My home theater PC uses JRiver Media Center 25 for two primary purposes: recording and playback of over-the-air TV, and music playback of a variety of music playlists. Unfortunately it looks like what I want to do is not something that JRiver Media Center supports. ![]()
